from 11:30am-2:30PM, then again from 4:00PM-8:30PM!
In 2012, Ted Bauer, owner of The Oregon Grille, bought and renovated The Valley Inn. Staying true to the original structure built in 1832, Bauer preserved the building’s rich history and notable past while reimagining the space and updating the décor of the historic property. Our locally inspired menu and extensive bar program, coupled with a variety of dining experiences, makes The Valley Inn the perfect place to dine with family, enjoy cocktails with coworkers, watch sports with friends, or celebrate a special occasion.

Our newly transformed property offers the following unique dining experiences:
Our Main Dining Room includes a fireplace, providing guests a cozy atmosphere to enjoy brunch, lunch, dinner, or cocktails. Carefully curated artwork throughout the room celebrates Maryland’s thoroughbreds and their jockeys.
Surrounded by decoys and artwork featuring shorebirds, our Porch provides guests a more casual dining experience. Year-round, our Veranda offers guests open-air dining while overlooking The Valley Inn pond and gardens.
A one of a kind oyster bar with dedicated bar staff, our “O” Bar is the ideal space to watch a game, enjoy a cold beer, and sample both locally and nationally-sourced oysters. With comfortable seating and a large fireplace, our patrons enjoy steamed shrimp, clams, oyster and other seafood delicacies in this cozy stone and wood paneled room.
The Valley Room serves as a flexible, intimate space for private dining, cocktail receptions, business meetings, and other gatherings on our second floor. Visit the bar on The Valley Inn Patio (The VIP) – the greatest outdoor bar in Baltimore County – offering specialty cocktails, 80 beers, and a stellar social scene. We also offer seasonal outdoor seating on our beautifully landscaped Patio. Equipped with umbrellas, heaters, a variety of seating options, plus a Bocce ball and corn hole court. The Valley Inn Patio is perfect for enjoying dinner or cocktails Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Executive Chef Roger Shugars has been featured in several Baltimore based publications for his contributions to area cuisine. Baltimore born, Chef Roger joined Ted Bauer in 2013 to create an extensive menu of American dishes inspired by traditions, flavors unique to our locale. From small plates designed for sharing, to generously portioned entrees for brunch, lunch, and dinner, The Valley Inn is truly an “All People Place”.
